Welcome to the Farms "Il Filo d'Erba"

We purpose 2 agrituristic farms, composed by lodging, biological restaurant and educational farm on the beautiful land in the province of Padova.

Agriturismo Monte Ceva, the Agritourism Complex Ca' Vecchia, located inside of the Parco Regionale dei Colli Euganei (Regional Park of the Euganean Hills), is comprised of about 50 hectares of forest with an ample expanse of natural reserve territory on Monte Ceva. Throughout the property wind walking paths of differing length and difficulty, dotted with indicative signs illustrating various botanical species.  The casa colonica, or “farmhouse”, holds two apartments on the second floor: one is nicknamed nocciolo, with a bedroom, kitchen, fireplace, and bathroom; and the other, nicknamed quercia, has a bedroom, kitchen, fireplace, and bathroom. Both of the rooms are equipped with air conditioning and TV with DVD and VHS. On the first floor is the foyer, the agritourism kitchen, and the dining room complete with fireplace. The Herbarium at Monte Ceva is housed on the second floor of the ex-hayloft in the gathering room, while at the first floor there is a space for labs and experiments.

Heating and water sanitation of the three units are made possible with a biomass boiler, which is an effective re-utilization of the by-products of the forest. The upper level of the walkway over the roof, instead of being walled-in, is left open to allow smaller birds to find refuge and build their nests..
A stay at Cà Vecchia is particularly recommended to anybody who wants to be immersed in the tranquil peacefulness of the forest by which it is encircled, and to have the opportunity to see deer who often come by to sip from the natural water spouts which run next to the buildings, and to be a short distance from important historic and cultural centers of great interest to tourists. In the hotter summers, you can enjoy the temperate microclimate created by the favorable postion of the Cà Vecchia buildings nestled on the inside of a miniature forested valley.

Agriturismo Altaura, Casale di Scodosia is an ancient farmland with 26 hectares of land cultivated according to the method of organic agriculture which offers to visitors big and small the possibility to discover the traditional life of the farmer, the fields, and the animals of the farm. As for hospitality, besides the outdoors space there are the rustic annexes of the seventeeth-century Villa Correr: the restored old stalls; the grand portico housing all the harvest tools; and the ex-“essicatoi”, buildings where massive tobacco bales were once dried, which have been recently restored with all the modern conveniences necessary for a comfortable stay, including lodging with private bathrooms and a banquet room for meetings and events all decorated with simple and familiar taste.
